As a Promon intern, you’ll join security experts and dive into hands-on projects that shapes the future of mobile app security.

Starting January 2026 we will welcome three students to work alongside our Development team, exploring the expansive world of mobile app security until summer 2026.

What we are looking for

A student enrolled in either a Bachelor or Master program - ideally within cybersecurity, computer science, or information technology, and with an expected graduation date of summer 2026 or later. Equivalent practical experience can also qualify. You are eager to learn, motivated, and enthusiastic about your work.

Bonus points for

• Interest or experience in reverse engineering, obfuscation, or protecting iOS/Android applications.
• Knowledge of tools such as Frida, LLVM, Ghidra or Qiling.
• Contributions to open-source or personal security projects.
• Hands-on experience from real projects – beyond academic coursework.
• Ability to use AI tools effectively to speed up your progress, and the skills to understand and reason about the code AI generates.

What will you learn?

We have created a dynamic program where you'll be able to influence what you'll be researching and diving into. Based on your background and preferences, you’ll join one of our teams to work on a project in key areas, such as data engineering and security development. During our interview process we'll be welcoming your input and thoughts on what you would like to research, and how to make the most of your time with us.

As an intern you will contribute within one of two main areas:

• Security development, where you’ll be part of a small, dedicated team exploring how we can build and improve security features that protect mobile apps against evolving threats. You’ll get hands-on experience with advanced tooling, code analysis, and technical experimentation, and help us push the boundaries of mobile security.
• Data engineering, where you’ll help improve our data quality, uncover meaningful insights, and contribute to the development of new analytics that benefit both our customers and internal teams. You’ll work with real datasets and gain practical skills in structuring, transforming, and understanding security data.

From day one, you’ll be a valued member of your team, contributing directly to real projects, while gaining experience in technical research, collaboration, and communicating your findings.

Internship details

The internship will run from January to June 2026. This is a paid internship, with a time commitment of maximum 16 hrs/ week.

You'll dive into real projects that are important to help us drive our company forward. As part of international teams, you will be taking on significant responsibilities while receiving support from experienced colleagues. We aim to match your assignments with your skills and interests to ensure a fulfilling experience. You'll gain an inside look at how app security is researched, developed, and applied in real-world scenarios.

Our interns work physically in our Oslo (Vika) office, as we believe that the in-office experience can provide a more comprehensive and enriching internship experience.
